Color: White w/Red Center  Sound: None

Sighting Detail:

Witness and another passenger were driving home from LA and spotted what looked like a bright star.  The star appeared to be 40 miles from Peoria, AZ.  AT the time the witnesses believed that it may have been a plan or other aircraft, but as they drove closer the object was moving very slowly to the north.  They parked their car their driveway and watched the light.  It appeared to be hovering over the valley and the object became very bright and they both could get a better look at it.

There appeared to be a red light at its center and the object started to move very slowly in different directions.  The witness then took several digital pictures.  The shape of the objects shows an oval object with a red center.

No other aircraft were observed in the sky at this time.

Star-Like Object Comes To a Stop Over Perry Township, Ohio.

Date: October 12, 2004  Time: 07:15 am EST  Shape:  Star Like Duration: 10 Minutes  Location: Perry Township. Ohio Color: Silver Sound: None

Sighting Detail:

I was driving my children to daycare this morning when I saw what I thought was a meteor or shooting star,  As my "shooting star reached about halfway down the sky it stopped- just stopped. I have told myself every possible thing today but being a logical person cannot figure out what I saw. The "star" stopped half way, went nowhere. I thought maybe it was the moon but it was broad daylight and the moon doesn't just drop. I wasn't sleepy, hung over, I don't do drugs, my windshield was clean etc...to say the least it is baffling, I am so confused not scared but confused. I like things to fit into a explanation I can handle this I don't understand. It was a perfectly clear blue skied morning aren't these things supposed to happen at night with lots of lights and isn't my radio supposed to tune out, this object was almost more baffling because nothing happened it was like things were still in my mind I kept thinking is anyone else seeing this! I didn't ask if anyone else saw anything when I got the kids to daycare, for all I know just my son and I but I imagine lots more had to see it, it was in plain sight.

Object information:

There was no sound that I heard the object appeared to be silver, no flashy lights or other drama, it was vertical like if you held a out nickel in front of your face (hold it so your fingers cover the face and you only see the thin part) that is what it would look like- no trail like a jet, no noise like a copter, it wasn't any kind of balloon- just some odd gravity defying object.

Sighting Detail:

Witness was standing on a porch of a motel; there was a clear view to the west – north – north/west.  Witness was looking NNW direction when he saw three bright lights in a triangular shape or formation.  Lights where ½ mile away from observation point and moving in a northwest direction at a speed of a small aircraft (120 knots).  The light was about 10 degrees above the horizon.  It was too dark to make out any structure between the lights or if they were single craft.  The light disappeared behind a hill to the northwest.

There is a hydroelectric dam located not far from this location.  After the witness looked at a map of the area he stated that the lights may have been following the power lines to the dam from the south east and departed the area following the power lines to the northwest.

Location: Stanwood, Mecosta County, Michigan USA

Color: Orange  Sound: None

Sighting Detail:

Driving on Pearce road, heading north, about 6 miles from Stanwood, the witness and his wife both saw an object hovering just above the treetops.  The witness quickly turned onto the next road with the hope of getting a closer look at the object.  As they quickly sped down the road, they both noticed a pick-up truck that was driving very quickly in the opposite direction.  As they approached the area where the object was they noticed it was no longer visible, as though it simply vanished.  The only thing that seemed “odd” was that there was a large farm tractor sitting in the farm field with the engine running and the drivers door open with no one around.

 .

The object was described as being over 100 feet long; sliver in color and in a shape of a hotdog.  The object appeared solid.

Skyquake Over Clearwater, Florida  - March 11, 2005

Report Type: Skyquake       Date: 3/11/2005    Time: 7:30 PM EST   City: Clearwater  State: Florida      Country: USA

Duration of Event: 8-10  Seconds

Event Description:

From Crystal River all the way down to Manatee county, FL, there was a loud rumbling in the sky. It rumbled several times.. like several sonic booms...but deeper - and different. Our windows shook. It sounded like an explosion. We ran outside. My father started smoking a cigarette and we walked down the street to the neighbors who had also come out of their houses. We asked them if they knew what that was. One of the neighbors was an old man. He said he'd heard many sonic booms in the 1990's during the first Gulf war and stated he thought this sounded VERY different from a sonic boom. We walked back to our house - my Dad had finished his cigarette - this was about 7 - 10 minutes later - we saw 2 jets fly in formation above us. We turned on the local news (BayNews9) and at approx. 8 p.m., the reporter came on the air reporting that they had received "hundreds of calls from around the area" inquiring as to what the sound was. The anchor told the audience they had no idea what caused this. Then, mid-sentence, the channel turned to advertising... for about 3 or 4 spots! Then, the anchor returned and said: "Oh, no need to worry...it was only 2 fighter jets flying over the area- coming in to land at MacDill AFB too fast." Sounded super SCRIPTED!! Did NOT sound like a sonic boom.

Unusual Dog and Cat Deaths in Idaho

Special Thanks to James Draper for all information relating to the following news and reports.

Police Seek Information About Dog Boneyard

June 17, 2004

By Renee Wells

South Idaho Press

Cassia Sheriff’s officials are asking for the public’s help in solving a bunch of dog murders.

Officers were summoned to BLM ground east of Rupert and north of Interstate 84, where a dog boneyard that appeared to contain carcasses of more than 100 canines.

The dogs had been skinned and slaughtered with the meat removed from the skeletons.  Officers initially believed that the dogs had all been dumped at one time, but varying degrees of decay indicate there may be dog skeletons which were slaughtered only recently.

Most of the dogs appear to be medium to be medium size dogs, Patrol Sgt. Robert Nay said.

“They are too big to be lap dogs but not big enough to be working dogs,” he said.

“There really aren’t any clues to where they came, but we often get reports of dogs just turning up missing, so it makes us wonder.”

Offices suggest dog owners who lose their animals contact the sheriff’s office so the area can be watched to see if any new carcasses turn up.

Anyone having information about the boneyard can contact Crimestoppers and remain anonymous by calling: 878-2900.

Cat Deaths a Mystery

James Draper

In mini-Cassia Idaho (Burley, Rupert, Paul and Heyburn) cats are dieing and the cause is unknown.  James Draper, who has been keeping track of the strange deaths report that as many as 26 cats have ended up dying, with not signs of wounds or bleeding.  The first eleven (11) cats died 11 years ago.  James had reported that his outdoor cats were very tame, and then he notices that they seemed very fearful of something.  When they died there were no marks on the cats bodies.

The deaths stop until 2003, when 15 of his cats disappeared and only 4 of those 15 came back.  One of the 4 cats seemed to have its life “drained” out of it.  James checked for a stab wound or other penetration, but he could find none.  He tried to take pictures of the cats to turn into the police, but the film never turned out properly.

During the winter of 2004, 5 outdoors cats had died the same way.

James has seen dead cats in the alleyways and does not know who, or why this is happening.

Special thanks to all the above articles and reports to Mr. James Draper, Special Investigator, Shadow Research, Inc.

Three Silent Black Triangles - Brazil

Date: November 1994 - February 1995 ( Not sure)  Time: Around 1:00 AM  Shape: Triangle Duration: 3 to 6 Minutes

Location: Rio de Janeiro, Barra da Tijuca, Brazil

Color: Black  Sound: None

Sighting Detail:

It was 10 years ago, so I don't remember what day it was, but is was in the end of 1994 or beginning of 1995 and at night.

I live in a house in the city of Rio de Janeiro, Me and my 5 friends were talking in the swimming poll at my house (we were not drinking or using other stuffs). I saw a strange light far southeast, it was changing colors, faint, red, green and blue, just one spot. And it was dancing near the top of a distant building. I thought it was someone that taped a small flashing light in a kite, and was playing with it over the building. Then the light made a fast movement down behind the building. I thought: - well, they collected the kite. (Just I saw this light).
But when the light disappeared, one of my friends pointed to the sky (west +/- 45 degree), and asked: "What is that?”. Just above us one black triangle, with NO lights and NO sound, was floating, west to east, it seams to be very slow and calm. It seams to be gliding, floating, not flying. But it appears to be going in a straight line.
It was a PERFECT triangle with sharp corners, it was not a glider, or a stealth plane (both of them are not a perfect triangle). And it was black, but stealth planes black. And smooth, with nothing visible on if surface.
It was a very clear night, without clouds and no wind. We were seeing it because of the reflections on it from the lights of the city. So it was relatively low. Kind the same altitude of the clouds (we can see clouds everyday illuminated from the city light too). As it pass, we could see the rear-end of it and there was no lights or fire from engines. It did appear to be a thin object.
It passed over us until disappearing behind another building (not landing over or behind it, it just passed over it). We where amazed and wondering what was that, then we looked west and other TWO black triangles were floating the same direction of the other. They did disappear behind the same building the same way and speed (slow). We were even more amazed and clueless and we looked again to west and the last 2 were coming and did the same trajectory without light or sound.
We were very excited at the end, but frustrated for not having a photo or video camera.
I don’t know how to describe the size of them. They were very big to see, but not huge like others descriptions that I heard of black triangles. The were probably huge, but due to the distant, they seamed to be just very big to us. Maybe it could cover 8 to 10 full moons lined up.
There is a small not-military and not very busy airport 10km north from here, so I know how to identify planes and I know that they are noisy. And the city’s Goodyear Blimp, lands in the same airport almost everyday (sometimes passing south to north over my house), so I know blimps too. Gliders, well I can see all kind of them when I go to the beach here. Theses black triangles we saw are not like anything I ever saw.
I don’t know if there were others in Rio that saw, but nothing were reported on the local or national TV or newspaper.

Object Information:

Six Perfect Black Triangles, SHARP corners, Not round corner, No lights, No sound, No Fire from Engine. Gliding west to east, very slowly.

Teardrop Shaped Object Over the Netherlands May 22, 2004

Date: May 22, 2004 Time: 1:00 PM  Shape: Teardrop   Duration: 1 Minute

Location: Leusden Utrecht, Netherlands     Color: Grey / White  Sound: Firework Type

 Sighting Detail:

Witness reported seeing a teardrop shaped object floating in the sky.  The object seemed to move in random directions, but after a few seconds the object stopped and it flashed a pure white light, which blinded the witness for a second.  Before I could think of warning someone the object started to move very fast to the East.  It disappeared behind clouds after a few seconds.

 Object Details:

The object was a grey colored teardrop, but when it stopped and stood still it was white and looked like a golfball.  The flashes of light that it shot out were pure white.  I could not estimate the size or altitude.  The only sound it made was when it shot out the light and that sound was like fireworks in a far distance.

Mysterious Loud Booms Wake Sleepers Around 3 a.m.

Report Type: Skyquake       Date: April 27, 2005     Time:  3:00 a.m. EST City: Hamilton   Province:  Ontario

Country: Canada    Duration of Event:  3 Seconds

Event Description:

New Report with addition witness comments at the bottom of this page.

Mysterious loud booms wake sleepers around 3 a.m.
Hamilton Spectator article:

Not from jet, quake or steel mill
By John Burman
The Hamilton Spectator
BURLINGTON (Apr 28, 2005)
Whatever jolted folks from their beds just after 3 a.m. yesterday is a mystery.

It wasn't an earthquake or a sonic boom. And the bang did not originate with Hamilton's steel mills.

But it did wake people from their sleep and send them out into the streets.

Heidi Lemaire jerked awake in her Beach Boulevard home and thought "some big truck had fallen off the Skyway."

At her sister's place nearby, "people were out on the street wondering what it was."

Lemaire said it was raining at the time but there did not seem to be any thunder.

Another woman who has lived on the Beach Strip for 50 years does not believe the noise came from Stelco.

"I hear bumps and banging all the time over there. This was different."

Ruth Fuller, who also lives on Beach Boulevard, agrees. "When (Stelco) dumps slag it is a rolling boom, sort of like thunder. This was two sharp booms close together."

Earthquakes Canada, part of the federal Department of Natural Resources, says there was no seismic activity affecting the Hamilton-Burlington area yesterday.

But the sensitive equipment did pick up what is believed to be a loud noise at that time.

Seismologist Janet Drysdale said monitoring stations in Stoney Creek and Toronto noted "a couple of little bursts, acoustic bursts or noises of something that showed up on our equipment."

The noise originated above ground, not below it.

The most recent earthquake in our area -- of 23 "events" felt in southern Ontario since the beginning of the year -- was at 2:27 a.m. March 31, centred below Lake Ontario about 45 kilometres east of Niagara-on-the-Lake.

That mild tremor -- a magnitude 2.0 on the Richter scale -- was the fourth in a series of mild quakes that began on March 28.

The Geological Survey of Canada says magnitude 1 to 3 tremors are recorded on local seismographs, but generally not felt. Magnitude 3 to 4 tremors are often felt, but there's no damage, while 5s are felt widely, with slight damage near the epicentre. Major quakes begin at 7.

The scale continues to grow in magnitude to 9, which is considered a rare great earthquake with major damage over a large region. A 9 hit Indonesia last December, causing a tsunami that claimed more than 170,000 lives in southern Asia, most of them in Indonesia.

Dofasco spokesman Bill Gair said the steelmaker's operations and environmental staff reported nothing unusual at 3 a.m.

Stelco spokesperson Helen Reeves also reported nothing out of the ordinary.

The two loud booms shook the Halton police station in downtown Burlington and lit up the switchboard.

Acting Halton police Inspector Joe Barker said there were no reports of explosions in the area, just a burst of calls from sleepy citizens wanting information.

Hamilton police had no reported incidents to explain the noises either.

The two booms came within seconds of each other. Those who heard them, from Ancaster to the Guelph Line and Lakeshore Road area of Burlington, say each sounded like a bomb.

Some people who called The Spectator said they felt what they thought was a vibration. Others, like Donna Fritz of Burlington, could recall only the sound.

Transport Canada does not track reports of sonic booms, caused by aircraft breaking the sound barrier, and has no reports of transportation-related incidents that would have made that kind of noise.

Nav Canada, which provides weather and navigation information for aircraft and receives reports of flight activity which causes sonic booms, reported nothing of note.

My personal experience:
Although it sounded like it came from above, every wall in our house shook.  I was having a tough night getting any sleep, so I was in a semi-conscious state when the event occurred.  But it almost sounded like something hit our rooftop ridiculously hard.  And shook the whole house.  In fact, my daughter’s very heavy bunk bed shook and rattled on the wooden floor.  We both heard three booms in rapid succession.  I went out at daylight to check out our roof; I thought perhaps an airplane dropped some cargo, but with no sign of physical damage to the roof, I then thought maybe an airplane could have dropped a load of liquid (yuck) of some sort. But no sign of pretty much anything.  Just a big, rather creepy, question mark.

UFO Glaskow - UK July 29 / August 26, 1995

Report Type: UFO    Date: July 29 / August 26, 1995    Time:  11:45 PM City: Glasgow  State:  Bellshill North Lanarkshire

Country: Scotland UK    Duration of Event: 7 Seconds

Event Description:

In the summer of July 1995, myself (witness) and a colleague decided to form a UFO group in Bellshire, Northlanarkshire. It all started on the 29th of July when XXXX asked if I wanted to view the stars in my back garden as we were both interested in Astrology. As we were looking for the constellation of stars known as the Pleiades we witnessed a sphere in the sky, (same size as the North Start) with a high intensity bright whiteness, moving along horizontally high above my garden. It disappeared for a short while and reappeared at the other side of my garden's view. Both XXXX and myself were bemused as to what it was, there was no explanation we could give to its identity. It moved in an unusual way.

Then on the 26th of August, we both witnessed what seemed to be the same object again when in the back garden, at first we thought it was an aircraft or alternately a high orbiting satellite that was briefly touching the atmosphere. A little late in the evening, I will never forget it, at 11:45 PM we again watched in awe as the strange object came into view before disappearing. Then I looked away to view another part of the sky (Orion's Belt) xxxx shouted "Look a shooting star," I don't know what made me look straight up, but vertically above me was this half moon shaped object, some parts were obscured from my view but probably the speed it was traveling, it also seemed to be transparent. The object wavered, more like a left to right oscillation, then it disappeared over my neighbors house. XXXX became unnerved, but I stayed out staring at the sky transfixed, it seemed as though time itself stood still for a while.

After the incident I asked xxx what he had seen, he described an object starting from a dot to a half moon shaped red/brown in color. Although I only noticed it as being red, we gave different logical explanations as to what the object might have been but later, still confused, we had no doubt that it was something we have never seen before.

Although I am good at the identification of military aircraft, I looked through conventional aircraft books trying to try and identify what we had seen, not one aircraft had the same similarity. It was not an optical illusion or a hallucination because both xxx and myself saw exactly the same thing. Certainly whatever it was, it was intelligently controlled made no noise which was puzzling. Days after the incident I started to draw the object and every time I shut my eyes I could see it in my imagination. There have been sacs when red corpuscles of blood pass in front of the iris of the eyes to give off theses strange red shapes in front of you. But we both could not have experienced this at the same time during our sighting. Anyway, my conclusion is that it was a UFO, XXXX agrees also.

Thank you for reporting this event!

Silver Metallic Ball Report

Shadow Research, Inc. is currently helping an individual find some answers regarding an unusual metallic silver globe that he discovered back in 1973.  Anyone who might want to venture a guess or have an idea of what this might be are encouraged to contact Shadow Research, Inc with information.  I have included some background information as well as four photographs of this object.

Background Information:

The person who has custody of this object found it while working on a gas line in the panhandle of Texas, USA.  While digging the trenches for a gas line back in 1973, he noticed a metallic ball protruding out of the dirt.  He dug the ball up and took it home with him, which he has to this day.

Description of Object:

Color: Silver       Measurements: 4 1/2 Inches       Weight:  About 5 pounds.

The object sounds hallow and when it shaken or rolled it makes noise.

The object is cold when touched.

It never rusts or becomes dull.  It was shiny when it was dug up from the ground.

A magnet will stick to it. It is not magnetic.

It looks like stainless steel.

If you would like to help us identify what the above object might be please contact Shadow Research, Inc.  Thank you.

Unusual Stealth Type Boat Columbia River

June 30, 2005

KATU News

PORTLAND, Ore. - People who are used to seeing a variety of boats moving up and down the calm waters of the Columbia River have recently reported seeing a UFO- of sorts.
But it is not a visitor from beyond our planet, although the shape of this particular Unidentified Floating Object has a definite other-worldly look to it. Some people are calling it a 'stealth boat'.

The sleek, silvery craft is definitely not designed for pleasure cruises or towing water skiers. It rides very low on the water, so low it looks like even a not-so-large wave could swamp it.

It has twin cockpits reminiscent of a those seen on F-117 stealth fighter planes. And the nose of the craft culminates in a sharp point, again more like a fighter plane than your typical ChrisCraft.

Even though the testing of the mysterious ship takes place in broad daylight, questions about who owns it, any technical information about it and its real purpose remain unanswered. Speculation abounds.

The ship's builder, Oregon Ironworks, is both vague and tight-lipped when it comes to the boat, saying only that it is for a "private customer" who wants to remain anonymous.

Gregg Herrington, a reporter for The Columbian in Vancouver, Washington, has been following the evolution of the boat for several years. He claims the original test boat, of which he has a photo, was designed for the Isreali Navy.

Herrington says he believes the original version held a crew of three, and was possibly designed to move teams of eight special forces soldiers.

The boat recently seen on the Columbia River is visibly larger but similar in design to the model in the old photo.

The U.S. Navy does have a $9 million contract with Oregon Ironworks to build two boats, but a spokesman for the company says that despite "looking similar to the naked eye", the boat being tested on the river and the boats destined for the Navy are "not similar at all."

Conspiracy theorists, boat lovers and military hardware enthusiasts will most likely be trying hard to get a glimpse of the needle-nosed craft. Meanwhile, the the questions remain as to who, and for what purpose, it is destined for.

Four Unknown Objects in the Sky Over Lagoa, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil July 15, 2005

Report Type: UFO    Date: July 15, 2005    Time:  Around Midnight City: Lagoa  State:  Rio de Janeiro

Country: Brazil    Duration of Event: 5 Minutes

Event Description:

We live in Rio de Janeiro in lagoon on the south side facing the lake.  We have view 180 degree of the entire lake area.  There were 3 objects on the left side (ocean side: Panama) of our view last night around midnight. It was difficult to estimate the distance in the sky ( maybe 5000 feet?).  Each one had a dominate red light in the center and what looked to be smaller red lights below.  There was also a faded black image that surround the entire image (as if we were looking through a lenses).  The forth object was on the opposite end of our view (near the Christ statue). This object had a much stronger light, white/ orange, with what appeared to be 4 or 5 less intense lights below.  If it were moving horizontal in the sky it might have appeared to be a comet, but it see seemed to just hover and sit vertical.  Also it too appeared to be 5000 feet or so in the sky.  We get a lot of planes, helicopters, remote control objects and the like in this area daily but these objects were totally different.  We even get the occasional hot air balloon and blimp but I’ve seen both of these at night and it wasn't either.  My wife and I are really curious if anyone else has seen these objects.

Note:  Please contact Shadow Research, Inc. if anyone has additional information regarding the Brazil sighting from above.  I would like to pass this information onto the person who sent this report in. Green Fireball Spotted Over Denton, Texas USA  July 12, 2005

Report Type: Meteor / Fireball      Date: 7/12/2005    Time: 10:30 PM  City: Denton   State: Texas  Country: USA

Color:  Green        Duration of Event: 3 Seconds

Event Description:

Very bright green colored fireball traveled across the sky over Denton Texas.  The object was first reported in the North-East and was last seen traveling South.  The fireball was very bright, like a lightning strike or firework in comparable brightness.  The fireball followed a consistent path, it did not look like it was breaking apart and a very long smoke trail followed the object and extended across the whole sky for the duration of the event.

possibly but I can't confirm this. the object left a very long trail but did not appear to be falling apart to the best of my knowledge

The speed was rated at a 5 or 7, on a scale with 10 being the fastest.

No sound could be heard since the witness was driving in a car at the time of the sighting.

Additional Comments:

I have witnessed hundreds, if not thousands, of meteorites and have never experienced any that displayed the intensity of green color and lengthy trail that this object displayed. Furthermore, it seemed to be maintaining a much lower altitude than any meteorite that I have ever witnessed before.

I'm skeptical about the majority of claims regarding so called 'alien spacecraft' and don't think that this object was related to higher intelligences, but I do have to admit that I have never seen anything quite like it before. The most similar thing I have ever seen was a confirmed satellite re-entry but the event that I witnessed on 7/12/05 was distinctly different in that it featured an incredibly intense green color and a long tail while not appearing to show any signs of fragmentation.

Fireball Explodes Over Leamington, Ontario Canada  July 30, 2005

Report Type: Meteor / Fireball      Date: 7/30/2005    Time: 11:10 PM  City: Leamington  State/Province: Ontario

Country: Canada    Color:  White then Orange       Duration of Event: 1 second.

Event Description:

A white fireball was witnessed traveling from the North-East towards the North and was about as bright as a full moon.  The object exploded in the sky into a orange color.  The speed was rated at 5, on a scale with 10 being the fastest.  There was also a smoke trail behind this object.

Comments:

It exploded and there was an orange color but the explosion lit up that part of the sky, enough to make my husband notice even though he didn't see the fireball itself.

I've never seen anything like this before.  It was so much bigger than a shooting star.  A shooting star is like a pinstripe through the sky and this had a huge trail on both sides (from my view point half a pencil width each trail) and then there was an orange color when it exploded.  It was magnificent.

Mysterious blasts rattle Israelis

Dozens of readers tell Ynet about loud ‘explosions’ heard overnight. Police: Likely sonic booms created by Air Force planes. Army: It wasn’t us
Ynet reporters

Late-night mystery: Dozens of readers from across Israel told Ynet about unusually loud “explosions” and tremors throughout the night, but attempts to shed light on the source of the blasts has been met with uncertainty.

At least one possibility has been discounted, with the country’s seismological institute saying no earthquake occurred.

Police officials estimated the loud sounds were a result of sonic booms created by IDF fighter jets on their way to attacking Gaza, but the army insisted there was no unusual Air Force activity across the country overnight.

Central Police District Spokesman Yigal Haddad said police received numerous calls overnight from concerned citizens reporting explosions.
The residents reported explosions heard from Netanya (north of Tel Aviv) to Rishon Lezion (south of Tel Aviv.) Many residents said the explosions came from the direction of the sea,” he said. “Police personnel who heard the blasts themselves said they sounded like sonic booms. We still don’t know what caused the explosions. We had similar reports during the week.”

Meanwhile, police in Haifa also received calls regarding a possible earthquake, but no damages were reported.

The nighttime explosions have apparently become a routine occurrence throughout the Sharon region, north of Tel Aviv. In recent nights there have been other reported about blasts heard in the town of Herzliya, but the source of them is unclear.

“It was a scary blast. The windows shook and we felt the entire house shake,” a resident of Kadima told Ynet. “The first thing that came to mind was a terror attack…we weren’t able to figure out what cause the first blast, and minutes later a second blast followed.”

A Herzliya resident who returned home at 2 a.m. also reported a loud explosion.

“A huge sound rocked the area…I thought it may be the influence of the alcohol, but then several car alarms were activated and dogs were barking in fright. I guess that’s what they feel in Gaza and Lebanon when we create sonic booms,” he said.

Yevgeny Sherman from Haifa told Ynet the blast was so powerful it knocked his door out. Sherman said he thought an earthquake was behind the unusual occurrence.

“It wasn’t like an explosion, but rather, the entire building shook,” he said.

Raanan Ben-Zur, Anat Shalev, Avi Cohen, Efrat Weiss, Hanan Greenberg, and Ahiya Raved contributed to the report

UFO Over Raleigh County West Virginia, USA November 4, 2005

Report Type: UFO    Date: November 4, 2005    Time:  4:30 am EST City: Surveyor / Drycreek  State:  West Virginia

Country: USA   Duration of Event: 5 Minutes

I was sitting in my computer room smoking a cigarette when my friend calls me at about 4:30 am and says something has been shining in her face as she was about to go to sleep and woke her up. She told me to look out my window and see if I seen anything weird.  I thought she was crazy and didn't think much of it but I looked and she explained to me where it would be if I was at her house. So I looked for it and I finally seen something that looked like a red and white dot that
was kind of changing between red and white out my window, moving really weird, moving left and right super fast like if you dragged your computer mouse back and forth as fast as you could.

I got some clothes on and grabbed a pair of binoculars and went outside for a better look. It took me awhile to find it this time because it had moved a huge distance. Like from way up to my left to right in front of me and way down. Its worth noting it was allot closer to her than it was to me.  When I looked at it through the binoculars it looked like a big white orb that was kind of dancing. You know those things in the model of an atom that spin around it? It was kind of like that but there was only one and it was going diagonally around it like an atom, and just kind of circling around it like a hula-hoop.  It was really strange.  Then it started bouncing up and down like if u had a child's ball and paddle toy and with beating it really hard. I thought it was from holding my binoculars unsteady but I looked without them and still seen it doing that. I asked my friend "did you see that?" she said "yea, that thing is going crazy!". And we watched it do all sorts of weird stuff.  It changed colors from white, to red, to green to gold. Finally I remembered she had a digital camera and told her to snap pics, she was freaked out about the ones with the streaks because she couldn't see the streaks when she took the pics. We just stared and watched it in amazement.

She got off the phone with me to wake her husband and one of her kids up to show them, I went to wake my mom up. Got my mom up out of bed at like 15 after 5,it had gotten so small u had to squint to see it and she didn't get a good look and got pissed at me for waking her up. I was like crap, its gone.  So I was just looking around to see if it went anywhere, and I seen another big white orb straight up in the sky, just zigzagging at a high speed across the sky and it disappeared.

I called my friend back to tell her and this is the point where she took the video I think, she was still seeing the first one and as I was telling her about the second one I seen the biggest white orb of them all appear seemingly out of nowhere, it flew down diagonally towards the ground and disappeared as quickly as it appeared, it was completely white and didn't have any kind of twinkle to it like the other 2,no tail behind it, it acted just like a comet but no tail behind it and it was white. None of the objects made any sound. That's the last I seen of any of them.

Yellow Ellipse Shaped UFO Reported Over Finland

Report Type: UFO    Date: September 1, 2005    Time:  2:30 Europe; Greek  State:  Hirvensalmi

Country: Finland  Duration of Event: 30 Seconds

EVENT:

This is my second UFO sighting and it took place on September 1, 2005 at 2:30 o'clock by night.  I was up at night and smoking a cigarette on my balcony in Hirvensalmi, a village.  I admired the stars, but the  moon was not visible.  Then I saw an ellipse shaped UFO shining yellow light and flying faster than an airplane or a satellite.  It was unusual to see and I knew I was watching an UFO.  it went behind the tree tops: there are pines, times, birches and alders.  The UFO disappeared from view, it was flying over lake Ryoka.  I have glasses so my vision is sharp.  It was quite warm and only the stars were bright.  The UFO must have been an undercover of the night.

I saw my first UFO in Kuitula, Hirvensalmi on December 1st, 2003.  These two sightings are different and the UFO is not definitely the same in both these sightings.  I can assure you that I have truly explained this sighting and I have not made up my story.

Skyquake Over Escondido, CA USA - February 16, 2006

Report Type: Skyquake       Date: February 16, 2006     Time:  2:00 PM PST  City: Escondido  State: CA

Country: USA   Duration of Event: 8 to 12 seconds

Event Description:

I thought it was an earthquake. There were two main "shakes", about 6 seconds apart, with very minimal rumbling in between. I was on my PC and have a bookmark to the "Recent Earthquakes" web site. There was no report of an earthquake, even hours later when I re-checked. The two shocks were easily felt, and rattled my windows. There was no audible "boom", just the shocks and light rumbling. I have to believe other people heard this as well. I am near Camp Pendleton, but am very well versed with sounds from artillery fire; this did not sound like that. Another interesting thought, the first shock seemed to rattle the south side of the house more, and the second shock rattled the north side of the house more. That doesn't make sense, but it did sound that way. An echo perhaps?

UFO Over O'Hare Airport, Chicago Il.  Cover-Up

Report Type: UFO       Date: November 7, 2006     Time:  6:30 PM CNT  City: Chicago  State: IL

Country: USA   Duration of Event: 20 Minutes

Event Description:

Part One:

The National UFO Reporting Center Received a report concerning a UFO sighting over O'Hare Airport in Chicago, Illinois on November 7, 2006.  Many of the repair, maintenance workforce at the airport witness the event and reported it to their supervisor's who in return called the radar controller's to see if anything unusual is going on in the vicinity.

The FAA denied anything happened until a reporter from the Chicago Tribune filed a FOIA request, which turned up information suggesting something unusual was indeed going on.

Published January 1, 2007

It sounds like a tired joke--but a group of airline employees insist they are in earnest, and they are upset that neither their bosses nor the government will take them seriously.

A flying saucer like object hovered low over O'Hare International Airport for several minutes before bolting through thick clouds with such intense energy that it left an eerie hole in overcast skies, said some United Airlines employees who observed the phenomenon.

Was it an alien spaceship? A weather balloon lost in the airspace over the world's second-busiest airport? A top-secret military craft? Or simply a reflection from lights that played a trick on the eyes?

Officials at United professed no knowledge of the Nov. 7 event--which was reported to the airline by as many as a dozen of its own workers--when the Tribune started asking questions recently. But the Federal Aviation Administration said its air traffic control tower at O'Hare did receive a call from a United supervisor asking if controllers had spotted a mysterious elliptical-shaped craft sitting motionless over Concourse C of the United terminal.

No controllers saw the object, and a preliminary check of radar found nothing out of the ordinary, FAA spokeswoman Elizabeth Isham Cory said.

The FAA is not conducting a further investigation, Cory said. The theory is the sighting was caused by a "weather phenomenon," she said.

The UFO report has sparked some chuckles among controllers in O'Hare tower.

"To fly 7 million light years to O'Hare and then have to turn around and go home because your gate was occupied is simply unacceptable," said O'Hare controller and union official Craig Burzych.

Some of the witnesses, interviewed by the Tribune, said they are upset that neither the government nor the airline is probing the incident.

Whatever the object was, it could have interfered with O'Hare's radar and other equipment, and even created a collision risk, they said.

The Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (the term that extraterrestrial-watchers nowadays prefer over Unidentified Flying Object) was first seen by a United ramp worker who was directing back a United plane at Gate C17, according to an account the worker provided to the National UFO Reporting Center.

The sighting occurred during daylight, about 4:30 p.m., just before sunset.

All the witnesses said the object was dark gray and well defined in the overcast skies. They said the craft, estimated by different accounts to be 6 feet to 24 feet in diameter, did not display any lights.

Some said it looked like a rotating Frisbee, while others said it did not appear to be spinning. All agreed the object made no noise and it was at a fixed position in the sky, just below the 1,900-foot cloud deck, until shooting off into the clouds.

Witnesses shaken by sighting

"I tend to be scientific by nature, and I don't understand why aliens would hover over a busy airport," said a United mechanic who was in the cockpit of a Boeing 777 that he was taxiing to a maintenance hangar when he observed the metallic-looking object above Gate C17.

"But I know that what I saw and what a lot of other people saw stood out very clearly, and it definitely was not an [Earth] aircraft," the mechanic said.

One United employee appeared emotionally shaken by the sighting and "experienced some religious issues" over it, one co-worker said.

A United manager said he ran outside his office in Concourse B after hearing the report about the sighting on an internal airline radio frequency.

"I stood outside in the gate area not knowing what to think, just trying to figure out what it was," he said. "I knew no one would make a false call like that. But if somebody was bouncing a weather balloon or something else over O'Hare, we had to stop it because it was in very close proximity to our flight operations."

Some joke, others research

The databases of various UFO-watching groups are full of accounts filed by pilots about sightings of unknown aircraft and anomalies that affected navigational equipment onboard planes.

Whether any of the UFO incidents are real or merely the result of individual perceptions, some experts say the events pose a potential safety risk to pilots and their passengers.

"There have been documented cases where safety appears to have been implicated, and more and more we are coming to the point of view that we are dealing with an intelligent phenomenon," said Richard Haines, science director at the National Aviation Reporting Center on Anomalous Phenomena, a private agency.

"We must be proactive before an aircraft goes down," said Haines, a former chief of the Space Human Factors Office at NASA's Ames Research Center.

Haines is investigating the O'Hare incident. He said he has determined that no weather balloons were launched in the vicinity of O'Hare on Nov. 7.

"It's absurd that the military would be conducting aerial test flights" near the airport, Haines said.

All the witnesses to the O'Hare event, who included at least several pilots, said they are certain based on the disc's appearance and flight characteristics that it was not an airplane, helicopter, weather balloon or any other craft known to man.

United denies UFO report

They're not sure what was hanging out for several minutes in the restricted airspace, but they are upset that no one in power has taken the matter seriously.

A United spokeswoman said there is no record of the UFO report. She said United officials do not recall discussion of any such incident.

"There's nothing in the duty manager log, which is used to report unusual incidents," said United spokeswoman Megan McCarthy. "I checked around. There's no record of anything."

The pilots of the United plane being directed back from Gate C17 also were notified by United personnel of the sighting, and one of the pilots reportedly opened a windscreen in the cockpit to get a better view of the object estimated to be hovering 1,500 feet above the ground.

The object was seen to suddenly accelerate straight up through the solid overcast skies, which the FAA reported had 1,900-foot cloud ceilings at the time.

"It was like somebody punched a hole in the sky," said one United employee.

Witnesses said they had a hard time visually tracking the object as it streaked through the dense clouds.

It left behind an open hole of clear air in the cloud layer, the witnesses said, adding that the hole disappeared within a few minutes.

The United employees interviewed by the Tribune spoke on condition of anonymity.

Some said they were interviewed by United officials and instructed to write reports and draw pictures of what they observed, and that they were advised by United officials to refrain from speaking about what they saw.

Federal agency backtracks

Like United, the FAA originally told the Tribune that it had no information on the alleged UFO sighting. But the federal agency quickly reversed its position after the newspaper filed a Freedom of Information Act request.

An internal FAA review of air-traffic communications tapes, a step toward complying with the Tribune request, turned up the call by the United supervisor to an FAA manager in the airport tower, Cory said.

Cory said the weather might have factored into what the witnesses thought they saw.

"Our theory on this is that it was a weather phenomenon," she said. "That night was a perfect atmospheric condition in terms of low [cloud] ceiling and a lot of airport lights. When the lights shine up into the clouds, sometimes you can see funny things. That's our take on it."

SIGHTING OF DISC-SHAPED OBJECT OVER O'HARE AIRPORT, CHICAGO, ILLINOIS, AT 16:30 HRS. (CENTRAL) ON TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 07, 2006

By Peter Davenport
NUFORC
11-14-06

The National UFO Reporting Center has received the following information from a single source, who, for the time being, wishes to remain anonymous, and who prefers not to reveal for what entity he works. We have received documentation about the alleged sighting, which satisfies us as to the veracity of the report, and as to the credentials of the party reporting the incident.

We have delayed release of this case, principally because an investigation was begun almost immediately after our receipt of the initial report, and because we were hoping to obtain addition documentation about the sighting, before it could be concealed, or destroyed.

At approximately 16:30 p.m. (Central) on Tuesday, November 07, 2006, Federal authorities at O'Hare Airport received a report that approximately a dozen witnesses were observing a small, round disc-shaped object, metallic in appearance, which hovered over Gate C 17 at that airport.

The object was first spotted by an employee, working on the ramp, who was engaged in "pushing back" Flight 446, departing Chicago for Charlotte, NC. The employee reported to his supervisors that the object appeared to be almost directly above his location at Gate C 17, it appeared to be perfectly round, and that its size was approximately equal to a U. S. quarter, held at arm's length. The object had a metallic appearance, according to the first witness, and it appeared to him to be spinning.

The first witness apprised the flight crew of Flight 446 of the existence of the object above their aircraft, and we believe both the pilot and copilot were witness to the bizarre object, as well. The witness also contacted his supervisors, who also witnessed the object, which was visible for approximately 2 minutes.

At the end of that time, the object was seen to suddenly accelerate straight up at a very rapid pace, and it "shot" through the solid overcast, which was at 1,900 feet at the time. The witness added that the object appeared to leave a "hole" in the clouds, where it had streaked upwards through the overcast.

Both the Federal Aviation Administration and Transportation Security Administration were apprised of the event at the time it was occurring, and personnel in one, or more, of the towers at O'Hare may have witnessed the object, possibly with binoculars. The FAA apparently reported that the object was not visible on radar, although that fact has not been confirmed at the time of this writing.

We hope to be able to release more information about the incident at some time in the near future. In the meantime, we would like to invite anyone who may have been personal witness to the event to submit a report of their sighting, using our Online Report Form. We would be most grateful if you would indicate in your report where you were located, at the time of the sighting, and what the object looked like, from your van
tage point.

UFO Spotted from a Plane Over Kahului, Hawaii USA - January 28, 2007

Date: January 28, 2007 Time: 8:25 PST  Shape: Round - Star Like  Duration: 2 Minutes

Location: Kahului, Hawaii USA

Color: Red, Orange and Yellow Sound: None

Sighting Detail:

I was in an airplane coming from Honolulu landing in Maui Kahului, I was viewing eastward and saw what I thought was a star then realized it was moving extremely fast towards the water.  Convinced it was a asteroid or shooting star it stopped shortly before reaching the water, and going back to its original position.  Then with rapid speed, it moved far back behind the plane, near out of sight. I had a visual of land, so I new that it was not the plane moving.  No plane could move this fast.

Object Information:

If you held a Beebe full extension of your arm that is how big it was 9 to 10 times larger than any star I have ever seen.  The  color was red, orange, yellow, and the shape was round.

Several Bright Objects Over Gwinn, Michigan  August 11, 2007

Date: August 11, 2007 Time: 1:28 AM EST Shape: Round  Duration: 15 Minutes

Location: Gwinn, Michigan USA

Color: Bright White Sound: None

Sighting Detail:

My husband and I have been here for a little over two months and noticed right away how much the stars show up here in northern MI. While stargazing we noticed several moving bright lights going towards a cluster of stars. When it got to the cluster they stopped moving for awhile, then several of them one at a time took off in different directions. We watched these lights until they were too far away to see, some of them shot off really fast. For the most part they would stop, change directions then go again. We know what airplanes look like at night, same as we do satellites, these are not either one of those. On quite a few nights we have sat outside with our neighbors across the street watching these "UFO's, some nights we don't see as many, but for the most part we are able to spot these. There is no noise when they are flying. Most of these lights or ufos seem to be going towards one of the big lakes up here. There has been several times when we have watched several of them cluster together and blink off and on as if they are trying to communicate with each other, one at a time. From the distance we are seeing these things, they are really far up, yet they show amazing speed when they cross the sky, and turn at almost impossible angles.

Object Information:

Round, bright white that sometimes will go dim then bright again. Some we have seen are an orange color. No sound at all from any of these we seen. When they cluster together they form a triangle. Tonight we seen about 5, on other nights we have seen up to 10-15 of them.

Lights in a Triangular Shape Over Lakeport, California - September 8, 2007

Date:              09/08/07

Time of Sighting:  approximately 10:30 pm

Time Zone:         pacific

Duration:          5 seconds

City:              Lakeport

State:             California

Country:           USA

Event:

I was lying in the back of my station wagon at the drive-in theater in Lakeport, California.  I was wedged between my two children and because it was uncomfortable to lie on my stomach and watch the movie, I decided to lie on my back and look at the stars instead.  After about 15 minutes or so, I saw a trio of lights in a triangle pattern moving fast, but slow at the same time(does that make sense?!), gliding very smoothly and quite low from west to east.  I became very excited and pointed it out to my boyfriend who also witnessed the object.  About 15 minutes later, another odd object, this time with only two lights which almost appeared to moving separately of one another, but very close to one another(possibly two separate craft?)came gliding across the sky, also west to east. The second sighting was seen not only by my boyfriend but by my 12 year old son as well.  The lights were a soft yellow/orange.  There was no sound AT ALL from these strange objects.  I did see one more strange lighted flying object far on the western horizon over the mountain tops moving from right to left, but it was too far to see any detail, or even be certain that it was not just a plane.  However, the way it moved was like the two objects that had flown over our heads at the theater.  Nobody else seemed to notice, and I did not think it would be wise to wander around and ask other people if they had just seen the UFOs that had flown overhead!

Object Information:

I could not see a discernible shape to these objects.  I could only see the lights.  The first object I assume was triangle shaped, as the three lights were in a perfect triangle formation.  They seemed to be on the same craft, and moved together perfectly.  Again, no sound, moving fast and yet it seemed that maybe for the craft itself, the speed was slow.  Gliding.  The second sighting was two lights with no discernible shape.  They seemed to move independently on one another yet together across the sky.  Gliding, no noise.  I felt as though they were moving fast by our standards, but for them it was slow...does that make sense?  This is only my impression.  They were flying quite low.

Loud "Booms" Heard Over Denton, Texas - February 5, 2008

Report Type: Skyquake       Date: February 5, 2008    Time:  12:00 AM Central  City: Denton  State: Texas

Country: USA   Duration of Event: 15 Minutes

Event Description:

At midnight my husband and I were downstairs in the family room relaxing and a very loud boom noise came out of nowhere and shook the ceiling. My immediate thought was that one of the children fell out of their bed upstairs. After rushing upstairs to only find our kids all snuggled quietly in their beds, we became confused as to what could have caused the noise. My husband walked every inch of the house looking for things that might have fallen over making the sound. Nothing. We searched the grounds around our house and everything was intact. Once we gave up and gave in to the theory that it might have been a sonic boom caused by a low flying aircraft, it happened again about 15 min later. The second blast was lesser intensity than the first but still powerful enough to make us search the grounds of our property again. I stayed up for 30 minutes longer and did not hear/feel any more disturbances. The weather that night was clear and somewhat windy.

Other residents in the Denton/Corinth community reported feeling the same thing. I found a few message boards on myfoxdfw.com where residents were looking for explanation.

If anyone else may have heard these sounds or can offer an explanation please contact Shadow Research at admin@shadowresearch.com

The following is a story that appeared relating to the above report.

Shake, rattle and roll mystery

03:24 PM CST on Thursday, February 7, 2008

By Peggy Heinkel-Wolfe / Staff Writer  Denton Record Chronicle

The earth moved Tuesday night for many Denton area residents, but what caused it remains a mystery.

“I was laying in bed, reading a book when it happened. It seemed like a loud noise and the whole house shook for a second or two,” said Susan Seaborn, of Corinth. She looked at her watch when the windows rattled. It read 11:34 p.m. “But my husband said, ‘I don’t remember a bang.’”

Seaborn said she felt another bump a few minutes later, although her husband said he didn’t feel that either.

The couple looked around their home and found no damage, but they did find their neighbors outside doing the same thing. Their neighbors thought a tree had fallen on their roof.

Denton County Sheriff dispatchers received nine calls from residents between 11:45 p.m. and 11:51 p.m., asking whether the shaking was an earthquake, a sonic boom, an explosion or something else altogether.

University of Texas at Austin professor Cliff Frohlich, an expert on Texas earthquakes, said that he, too, received calls from Denton area residents curious whether what they felt was an earthquake.

There were no reports from the National Earthquake Information Center, but that seismic data is limited to quakes that register magnitude 3 or more on the Richter scale, Frohlich said.

“And that would be felt across the state,” Frohlich said.

A seismograph in Hockley, north of Houston, showed no activity either, but a small tremor, measuring 2 or less, would only be felt locally. Such a quake could be measured only if there were instruments in the area, he said.

The most recent, measurable earthquake in North Texas shook Commerce on May 13, 1997, with a 2.9 magnitude temblor. The nearest quake shook Valley View on September 18, 1985, measuring 3.3 on the Richter scale. The biggest quake in North Texas centered just north of Paris, and measured 4.2 back in 1934, Frohlich said.

The biggest quakes ever in the nation’s midsection occurred in Missouri in 1811 and 1812. Based on damage reports, experts estimate those quakes measured about 8 on the Richter scale.

The kinds of reports people have made about Monday night’s shake are consistent with a temblor of 2 or less, he said.

“People report a loud noise or a jolt. They hear them more than they feel them,” Frohlich said.

But, he said, the reports are also consistent with other earth-shaking events, such as storms and sonic booms.

Denton County emergency manager Jody Gonzales said that the southwestern corner of Denton County is in a Fort Worth-Wichita Falls flight path where pilots are allowed to fly their craft at supersonic speeds.

If an airplane does pass the speed-of-sound barrier, the boom could be felt anywhere in the county, depending on the wind, Gonzales said. But emergency management officials aren’t typically told when such a flight has come through.

“We never know,” he said.

Steady Deep Rumble with A Flash of Light - Mount Vernon, Ohio February 8, 2008

Report Type: Skyquake       Date: February 8, 2008    Time:  11:30 pm EST City: Mount Vernon  State: Ohio

Country: USA   Duration of Event: 5 Minutes

Event Description:

A steady, deep rumbling with little variation, such as a jet afterburner held at full power. (I spent a great deal of time around B1 Bombers in the past).  There was one boom, a flash of light (I don't know the origin, I saw it from inside the house)...and then about 1 to 2 minutes later, another.  The sound did not increase or decrease like thunder and after going outside it seemed to be originating from the southwest.  Many people heard it,yet there was no mention of it on the news or elsewhere.

All the Amish people are unsettled about this.  They think all our thundersnow has been something other than thunder.  Don't know why...just thought I'd mention it.

Stephenville Mass UFO Sighting

Report on the events of January 8, 2008

Stephenville, Texas.
------
Dr. David E. Harrington, Parapsychologist S.R.I.

On the evening of January 8th 2008, the people of Stephenville Texas, a dairy town of some 17000 residents, situated about 70 miles southwest of Dallas/Ft Worth, beheld something rather unexpected in the sky over their normally quiet town. What the residents claim to have seen that night could redefine UFOlogy, as well as make us rethink where we stand in the universe.

Stephenville Texas is hardly a Mecca for all things paranormal. The town boasts of two things: Its annual dairy production, and Tarleton State University, the city's resident college. Despite its size, Stephenville still retaining the small town feel, and the residents are proud of this fact as well.

At approximately 6:30pm on January 8th, a Mr. James Huse was outside of his house, just a couple blocks from the town's grand courthouse, bidding farewell to some friends after a long evening of playing chess. Huse, a retired Air Force navigations aid technician, looked upward, apparently feeling that something wasn't quite right. What he saw were two brilliant red lights approximately 500 feet apart, hovering directly overhead. During an interview with this investigator, Mr. Huse said that the lights hovered for some time before flying toward the west. He was quoted as saying that the first thing he could say was "Hey look, a UFO!"

At the same moment, Mr. XXXX, freight company owner and recreational pilot was just arriving at his home with some friends. As the group exited their vehicle, Mr. XXXX looked toward the west, expecting to get a glimpse of the last of the evening's sunset. Instead, he and his companions were frozen in fascination as they watched a large rectangular formation of bright white lights move in from the east, and stop, hovering over the town. From his distance and position, about three miles away, Mr. XXXX could make out the totality of the strange visitation, which he described as a formation of bright white lights, "Flashing, but not in unison..." He estimated the size of the formation to be approximately a half-mile in width, and nearly a mile in length.

As Mr. XXXX watched, the line of lights in the "rear" of the formation reconfigured themselves into an arc shape, returned to their original position. The craft then "disappeared", or accelerated to fast to be seen, the latter being the most logical, and the personal belief of this investigator. Moments later, the formation reappeared, this time flying silently at a high rate of speed, estimated to be 2,000-3,000 miles per hour by Mr. XXXX, who flies his small plane in the area frequently. During the second sighting by Mr. XXXX and his companions, the formation was flying in a west-to-east direction, pursued by what appeared to be USAF fighter jets, possibly scrambled either from Ft. Hood, or Ft. Bliss, two large military installations in the state who have jet fighters.

Another witness, who was unavailable for an interview during my excursion in Stephenville, was between the two aforementioned witnesses, and verifies the sighting by his report given to several newspapers and television crews. This witness saw the lights move in extremely fast from the east, stop quickly, and sit hovering silently over the city. He too described the formation as being extremely large.

What is peculiar about this event is that all of the witnesses describe the same thing, just from different angles, distances and vantage points. Mr. Huse's position, an estimated 1500 feet directly below the formation, would have only allotted him a partial view of the whole, explaining why he only observed two lights. All credible witnesses to the event reported seeing the formation of lights move in quickly but silently from the east, stop "on a dime", hover for a short period of time, then leave speeding away at a remarkable speed toward the west.

The people I spoke to were quite credible in my opinion, and it seemed to me that they had much more to loose than to gain in reporting a large UFO hovering over their town. They spoke earnestly, and without embellishment or undue excitement, leading me to believe that they were being truthful. There were several questions they could not answer, such as the color or shape of the "ship" itself, the exact time of their sightings, and oftentimes the duration of the sighting itself. I feel that if this is indeed "just a story", then it is no doubt one of the greatest hoaxes ever attempted in the history of UFOlogy in terms of logistics necessary to carry out the hoax, and number of people involved. I feel this is not the case, and wholeheartedly believe that the witnesses saw what they claim to have seen.

To discredit the theory that the people of Stephenville simply fabricated the story for personal gain, I sought to ascertain whether or not any of the witnesses have profited off of the event. I found that the only people to have made any financial gain from the event were non-witnesses who took it upon themselves to take advantage of the excitement, and market novelty UFO-themed merchandise. The witnesses, though most of whom are more than willing to discuss what they have seen, just want to carry on "business as usual", and do not seek to gain fame or notoriety from their experience. The townspeople as a whole, in fact, have attempted to carry on business as usual since the occurrence, and if you drive through Stephenville today, you'll see just another small city in the rolling countryside of central Texas.

The official standpoint of the US military shortly after the sighting was that it was just an illusion, possibly an airliner. They claimed to have no aircraft in the area that night, and reported no strange craft appearing on radar. Nearly a week later, the military recanted their original claim, now saying that it was Air Force jets on a training mission, and that was the lights seen by the witnesses. This does not explain the size of the formation, the rapid acceleration, and the fact that the formation hovered for some time, something only the harrier jet, used mainly by the RAF can do.

A final, personal note on this report of the January 8'h 2008 Stephenville sighting: As I was preparing to leave the town, I was standing near my vehicle, saying my farewells to the last witness I spoke to, when the sound of two fighter jets broke the stillness. Flying over the grey clouds of the overcast sky of that day, the jets streaked overhead, their engines fading into a distant roar in a matter of seconds. The gentleman looked me in the eye and said: "Go ahead and call the air force. Ask them if they had any planes in the air today. I guarantee they'll tell you they didn't."

Direction object moved to the West, and direction of Mr. XX's location during his sighting.

Overhead, where the two red lights hovered for several moments.

Strange Happenings at Gatesville, Texas Fort Hood Military Base

February 15, 2008

Dr. David Harrington

Gatesville Texas is situated close to Fort Hood, one of the largest military bases in the United States.

Helicopters out on training runs are an every day sight. I've seen many of these training convoys, and feel I know when there is something a little odd about military activity in the area...

Between 7:00pm and 9:00pm CST on February 14th 2008, I observed first, two AH-64 A/D Apache Longbow gunships fly overhead heading in a east to west direction. The two helicopters were approximately 600 yards apart, flying one in front of the other. A minute or so later, another Apache Longbow flew over, this one equipped with a searchlight which was on at the time of its overhead pass, an action unusual in itself. Approximately five minutes later, a CH-47

(Chinook) helicopter flew over, flying again, in the same direction, with what appeared to be lifting straps attached to the underbelly. Because of the time of evening, this detail is difficult to prove for certain, but the Chinook is used for transporting large items, and lifting straps are sometimes used in just such an operation.

Thirty minutes later, one more Apache Longbow helicopter was seen flying in the same direction. At this point, I threw on a jacket, and walked to a neighbor's house, a neighbor who knows more about military training operations than I do, and asked if it were possible that the heilos were just on a training run, or if it were something else. The neighbor agreed with me that because of the nature of the convoy and the presence of a Chinook and a spotlight-equipped gunship, that the convoy MIGHT be involved in a possible recovery operation of some sort, or may have been searching for something. I stayed at the neighbor's house, visiting until about 9:00pm. As we stood outside, yet another Apache (note that I had yet to see nor hear any of the others

return) flew over, and after what appeared to be a distance of three to four miles, banked, reduced speed, and flew in a south to north direction.

It seemed as though these military helicopters were involved in some sort of search/recovery operation. Of what sort, I don't know. I felt this worthy of mention amid the numerous UFO sightings which have taken place in this part of Texas. Gatesville lies about 60 miles from Stephenville.

Unusual Fireball Over Alberta, Canada - February 22, 2008

Report Type: Fireball     Date: February 22, 2008  Time: 5:31 am   City: Stony Plane / Super Grove Province: Alberta

Country: Canada  Duration of Event: Few Seconds

Event Description:

A orangish / yellow fireball was spotted moving North East over Stony Plane / Super Grove, Alberta Canada the brightness was compared to; " a falling star would be pen mark, this was more of a broad brush stroke in the sky."

I could see a solid black rough edged object falling at a slight downward arc...long orange/yellow tail with a orangish glow from the underside of the object and then it burned out but I could briefly see the black object continue downward on the horizon.  No visible explosion from my location, just vanished.

I was looking towards the horizon where Edmonton is, the reddish glow from the city lights on the horizon made the object still visible after it burned out.

It was very brief no more than a few seconds but the tail was very long and bright something like a flame on a long wick candle.
