After not seeing our cat for over a day..I found her behind our garage dead. She had been cut? open from chest to tail, and her entrails were outside of her body, although still attached. I dug a hole and buried her. It was later, after I started to recover from the shock of finding her that way, that I realized that there had been a complete absence of blood at the scene! Also, there were no tracks, or signs of a struggle.

Also, I have a small goldfish pond in my backyard. I was puzzled by the fact that they seemed to have quit eating. I chalked it up to a recent freeze, and that they were maybe just cold. They were all bunched up in a corner of the pond and acting strange.

Then this morning when I fed them, I noticed that two of the fish were missing. I did a search around the pond, and did not find the bodies. (On other occasions, a couple of my large fish had jumped out of the pond and I found them dead next to the pond,) These fish usually eat very well. But for two days now, I have had to scoop out the previous food and discard it.
